Fully automatic machines with powder compartment: Start the brewing process with a tab in the powder coffee compartment and switch off the device for 8 minutes after half a cup of water. Then switch it on again and end the run. Repeat this 3 times without a tab. Remove the brew group and rinse well. Let 2 cups of water run through before use. Machines without a powder compartment: Remove the brewing group and rinse thoroughly with warm water using a sponge / brush and let it dry. Completely dissolve the tab in warm water and let it run through in the water tank according to the manufacturer's instructions. Traditional Espresso machines: Clamp the portafilter with a tab in a blind filter into the brew group. Press the brew lever (or switch) for 10 seconds. Repeat the process 5 times. Remove the portafilter, clean the brewing group with a suitable brush. Clamp portafilter with blind filter in the brewing group, rinse 10 times for 5 seconds with water Wash the coffee filter thoroughly and let it dry. Pad- and Capsule machines: Completely dissolve the tab in warm water and let it run through in the water tank according to the manufacturer's instructions. Thermos flasks / drip trays / coffee pots: To clean the respective items, fill them with 2/3 hot water and dissolve 1-2 tabs in it, depending on the size.
